This video shows a case study of the 2013 fertilizer plant explosion in the town of West, Texas using BREEZE ExDAM. BREEZE ExDAM is a new generation of explosion modeling derived from its predecessors, HEXDAM and VEXDAM, to calculate structure damage and personnel injury due to incident overpressure/dynamic pressure/impulse.

In this video a high quality plant siting analysis is performed.  The proposed building structures are first created by importing CAD 3D surface geometry (i.e. a DXF model).  All of the closest potential vapor cloud explosions are then located and the pressure distributions, structure damages, and personnel injury levels are computed.  The entire analysis can be developed, analyzed, and documented in a few days.
